4 Ballad Music I listened to when I’m Sad

Everyone loves music. As what I have discussed on the earlier blog post, music can affect our overall body functions and even moods. Now, talking about moods. When I feel sad, I have certain genres of music I listened to. The following are the lists of the music genres I prefer to listen when I get broken, sad, empty and lonely. Who knows? Maybe you’ll love my list and I even included songs that you may want to hear, too.

Ballads are the most favorite maybe of mostly of music lovers. Ballad are slow music with usually powerful lyrics. What’s best about ballads is that the singer has mostly has powerful voice. It makes me feel the pain, when It’s a broken song, feel loved when it’s a love song.Sometimes, ballads are a bit of songs sung in opera houses but there is really about the music, lyrics and sometimes, singer too that makes me feel okay whenever I’m sad. Not all the time, I feel okay but sometimes, as they say, it is better to cry the sadness away while listening to ballad music, in my case.

Bonnie Tyler

“Total Eclipse of the Heart” – Bonnie Tyler

Like the mega hit single of Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, ballad is popular for great singers performing with great music and lyrics. As already discussed earlier, there are ballad songs that are little opera in itself and I believe this one is. Tyler seemed like talking to me through her mournful yell spanning over lush instrumentals, thunderclaps and the unique song bridge along with it. If you have seen the music video, it is completely unique too. This is one of the songs that I listened to as it conveys my emotions especially during those empty moments of my life.  I feel like Tyler is singing for me, she’s singing in behalf of me.

Journey

“Don’t Stop Believin” – Journey

This song is popular nowadays because of Glee and X Factor but this song which was done originally by Journey is a rock ballad that is catchy and uplifting. It has a unique music structure as the chorus only appears in its final quarter. This is a great song that I listened to when I lost all my hopes. When I feel like it is the end of the world, I just click this song on my playlist replay. Just the title itself keeps myself together.

Starship

Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” – Starship

This classic song is a declaration of love and solidarity. This makes me feel love. This inspires me to continue loving despite the negative vibes or disadvantages of loving. This song has been revised up until today but I still loved how Starship vocalists’ Mickey Thomas and Grace Slick performed this lovely powerful ballad love song.

Bon Jovi

“Always” – Bon Jovi

“This Romeo is bleeding
But you can’t see his blood….”

“It’s been raining since you left me
Now I’m drowning in the flood
You see I’ve always been a fighter
But without you I give up”

“If you told me to cry for you
I could
If you told me to die for you
I would
Take a look at my face
There’s no price I won’t pay
To say these words to you”

The powerful lyrics of the ballad song. This is one of the songs I listened to when I’m broken in love. Do you agree with me? This song is one of the best songs you may want to hear when you are in a bad relationship with your beau. Despite the challenges in your love relationship, you are still there willing to take the risk, the pain, the hurt. The famous song track mourns a lost love. If love did not conquer, this song is for some dudes out there who still believe. Like me.

My 4 Favorite Song Artists of All Time

That term’s definitely got a negative aura to it, because people think a diva is somebody with an attitude who demands things all the time. Of course there is that type of diva, but my idea of a diva has always been a singer – whether male or female – who gets on that stage and captivates you with their presence and their voice.- Jordin Sparks

I know you have lots of music on your playlist and you can’t get enough of particular song artists. Sometimes, we like the songs. But, in my case, I like the artists first before their song. So, what I’m sharing now is the list of my favorite song artists who I think affected me and my taste in music.

Here is the list of some of my favorite music artists that have captured me.

Bob Marley

Bob Marley

Who does not know him? I mean this man is one of the music legends. His name is Robert Nesta or we commonly knew him for his stage name “Bob Marley.” He was a Jamaican reggae artist.  I believe he is the one who influences most of the current famous reggae singer and artists. I love how he simply outs rhythm to lyrics that are full of soul. For me, he is simply is the best. What’s the reason not to call him the best, right? Well, looks like I want to listen again to his “Wait in Vain”. Sorry, I lied, I’m actually currently listening to it while doing this blog post.

Celine Dion

Celine Dion

“Near, far, wherever you are…”

Well, Celine Dion is really very famous not just with the Titanic song for the ever-famous Titanic movie but she has incredible credibility in music. She is known for her powerful voice conveyed in each of her music piece. That is why maybe lots of aspiring singers wanted to sing her songs, as they are a good training for the vocal chords. I personally loved how she sings each line in her song. It seemed like she is communicating with her whole heart. That is why maybe she’s one of my favorite. And, of course, who am I to not have a single playlist of Celine Dion’s songs, right? She deserves to be on my playlist. It’s my pleasure.

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson

The only and true “King of Pop” himself. Michael Jackson, though had received negative comments and news thrown at him for his personal life, no doubt his music were part of our growing up. To the tune of “We are the world” to “Beat it”. His music are so endless. Even though he died earlier as not expected, but his music is still living even up to this generation. Michael Jackson is just really my favorite because his music are inspiration, sometimes can help you groove and dance or sometimes cry.

Madonna

Madonna

Who would forget “Material Girl” and “Like a Virgin”? Madonna Louise Ciccone or famously known for stage name “Madonna” is one of the most in demand and famous because of her music. I personally loved how her music would lighten up my mood and my entire day just by listening to it. She has more to offer with her variety of music. Disco music, ballad, pop are some of the genres she is known for.
